Fairchild International Names Ralph Shockley, Jr. to Head Midwest Operations


Glen Lyn, VA, January 4, 2008 — Fairchild International, a U.S.-based manufacturer of underground mining equipment, has hired Ralph Shockley, Jr. to manage the company’s recently-established Midwest Divsion. He will be responsible for sales and service operations at Fairchild’s warehouse facility in DuQuoin, IL, near Carbondale. Prior to joining Fairchild, Mr. Shockley was the maintenance supervisor for Freeman Energy. He has spent his career in a variety of mine maintenance positions with Freeman, Arch of Illinois and Carter Coal. Mr. Shockley holds all necessary State of Illinois mining certifications and MSHA electrical cards.
