Fairchild International Introduces Workhorse Permissible Diesel-Powered Scoop


Glen Lyn, VA, October 8, 2008 — Fairchild International, a U.S.-based manufacturer of underground mining equipment, is now producing the 35C-WHPD Workhorse Permissible Diesel-Powered Scoop. This diesel-powered vehicle meets all MSHA inby requirements, and is the latest addition to Fairchild’s series of battery-powered scoops and shield haulers. The 35C-WHPD is ideally suited for use in slope graded mines, and those with minimum seam heights of 6 feet. Fairchild’s latest innovation features a bucket size of 140-160 cubic feet; superior heavy-duty frame assembly; ball bearing center section assembly; automatic lube on center section pins; John Deere 1400 Series inboard planetary axles with internal wet disc service brakes and hydraulically controlled differential lock; Cummins C8.3, 150HP engine with DST dry scrubber package for exhaust treatment; 4-speed and reverse powershift transmission assembly; 44-inch tires; and first-class customer service and support.
